Snoop Dogg Says He’s “Very Surprised” By Diddy Trial: “I Don’t Be Expecting This Stuff”

Los Angeles, CA – June 2, 2025 | Hiphopla News — Snoop Dogg has broken his silence on the ongoing Diddy sex trafficking case, admitting that he’s been left stunned by the headlines.
During an appearance on The Shade Room Live, the West Coast icon was asked whether he was surprised by the serious charges against the Bad Boy mogul.
“Very surprised. I’m ultimately surprised,” said Snoop. “I don’t be expecting none of these things to be happening.”
He went on to contrast Diddy’s approach to leadership with his own, highlighting how he treats his team with respect and fairness.
“I like to take advantage of my position and treat people good,” Snoop said. “Make sure that people who work with me don’t feel like they work for me. And if they leave, it’s love. Always love. Never bad vibes.”
While Snoop had remained quiet on Diddy’s legal situation until now, he’s had no issue speaking on another former music exec: Suge Knight.
On his surprise album Iz It A Crime?, the Doggfather doesn’t hold back, going off on Suge in the track “Shut Yo Bitch Ass Up.”
“I can see why you mad / I bought everything you own / Now you in PC snitching on the phone,” he raps.
“I can slap the taste out your muthafuckin’ mouth / Pull up on your n-gga, make you wanna reroute…”
The shots didn’t go unnoticed. Suge fired back in an interview with The Art of Dialogue, accusing Snoop of misrepresenting his Death Row Records ownership and calling his leadership at Def Jam a flop.
“What’d you buy? Show me the paperwork,” Suge snapped. “You disappointing the world with flops.”
As Diddy’s court battle continues and the fallout from Suge and Snoop’s war of words keeps spreading, one thing’s clear — hip hop’s OGs are in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
