Method Man Surprises Fans with Blueberry Muffin Costume on ‘The Masked Singer’

Legendary rapper Method Man made an unforgettable appearance on The Masked Singer, donning an unexpected costume as a blueberry muffin named Stud Muffin. The Wu-Tang Clan member’s entry on the show left viewers in awe, especially after he showcased his *’90s dance moves while performing hits from the era.

Method Man’s first performance saw him rapping House of Pain’s “Jump Around,” and though his voice was easily recognizable, he managed to avoid being outed. On his second appearance, he switched it up with some singing and dancing, delivering a rendition of Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison” — a notable departure from his usual style.

Despite his entertaining performances, Method Man was eliminated after receiving the least votes. The reveal of his identity left The Masked Singer hosts Rita Ora and Robin Thicke in shock, clearly impressed by his unexpected participation in the fun, lighthearted show.

This marks another memorable moment in the series, following appearances by other high-profile hip-hop stars. Wiz Khalifa joined the show as a colorful chameleon in 2021, while Lil Wayne surprised fans as The Robot in season 3. The 2023 winner, Ne-Yo, even performed as a female cow, and Grandmaster Flash also made waves when he was unmasked as the Polar Bear.

While Method Man didn’t take home the trophy, his time on The Masked Singer undoubtedly added some nostalgic flavor to the show. In a world where fun and laughter are in short supply, his participation offered a welcome dose of joy for both fans of his music and the show.
