Diddy Granted Right to Wear Civilian Clothes During Sex Trafficking Trial

Diddy will be allowed to dress in regular clothes instead of jail-issued uniforms during his upcoming sex trafficking trial. The Bad Boy Records founder successfully petitioned the court for the right to wear suits, and the judge approved his request.
According to court documents, Diddy has been cleared to wear five button-down shirts, five pairs of pants, five sweaters, five pairs of socks, and two pairs of lace-free shoes during the proceedings. Up until now, he’s appeared in court in his prison uniform for pre-trial hearings.
With the trial just days away, Diddy and his legal team continue to contest several issues, including a request to prevent prosecutors from discussing the case publicly. They argue that media comments from attorneys, especially those representing witnesses, could bias potential jurors and jeopardize his right to a fair trial.
One prominent example is Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, who has publicly commented on video footage allegedly showing Diddy assaulting her in a hotel hallway. Wigdor praised Cassie’s courage and said the footage reinforced claims of Diddy’s predatory behavior.
Diddy is also fighting to exclude certain pieces of evidence from being presented in court.
