Andrew Schulz Reignites Feud With Kendrick Lamar Over “Whitney Springs” Movie

The tension between comedian Andrew Schulz and rap icon Kendrick Lamar is still simmering, and Schulz clearly isn’t ready to let it slide. What started as a lyrical jab has now evolved into a full-blown public feud—fueled by Kendrick’s upcoming film project Whitney Springs, a collaboration with the creators of South Park, slated for release on March 20, 2026.

Schulz recently revisited the beef on The Sam Roberts Show, openly calling out what he sees as Lamar’s hypocrisy. In particular, he criticized Kendrick’s alignment with South Park—a show known for controversial humor, including jabs at public figures like Lizzo. According to Schulz, Kendrick’s association with the project contradicts his earlier criticism of comedians.

“Of course it’s hypocritical,” Schulz said, implying that Kendrick may have jumped on a viral trend without understanding the full context or knowing Schulz’s platform. The comedian claimed he held back at first, waiting for confirmation that Kendrick’s bar was indeed aimed at him.

For context, the conflict traces back to Kendrick’s track “wacced out murals,” where he raps: “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law.” Fans quickly speculated it was a shot at Schulz, prompting his eventual response. According to Schulz, Kendrick’s team later confirmed that the line was directed at him.

“Once you come at my people and tell your fans to come for my friends, expect the smoke,” Schulz stated bluntly.

He also addressed the backlash over his own comments, especially around what some interpreted as racially insensitive. Schulz defended himself, saying his joke was taken out of context and twisted into something it wasn’t. “People tried to spin it as racism real quick,” he said, frustrated by how fast things escalated.

While neither side appears ready to wave a white flag, one thing’s for sure—this feud has gone beyond bars and jokes, touching on deeper issues of race, respect, and reputation.

With Whitney Springs set to hit theaters next year, all eyes will be on how both parties handle the spotlight moving forward.
