André 3000 Clarifies: Missing Notebook Posters Aren’t Album Teasers

Fans were hyped after André 3000 posted “missing notebook” flyers online — many thinking it was a cryptic promo for a new rap album.

Turns out, it wasn’t.

According to his rep, the notebook is actually lost, and Dre is genuinely trying to find it. The notebook reportedly disappeared in Amsterdam Noord on March 29.

Coincidentally, Dre did release a new project titled 7 Piano Sketches — but there’s no rapping. Just piano improvisations, most of them recorded on his iPhone.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, he explained the EP was never intended for public release, just personal recordings he shared with close friends.

He named influences like Thelonious Monk, Philip Glass, and Joni Mitchell, emphasizing the emotional nature of the pieces.

To promote the EP, Dre appeared at the Met Gala carrying a piano on his back.
