BigXThaPlug Gifts Jimmy Kimmel a $100K Custom ‘Texas’ Chainby Marisa Mendez

BigXThaPlug made his live TV debut unforgettable — not just for himself, but for Jimmy Kimmel too.
Ahead of his performances of “The Largest” and “Mmhmm” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tuesday night (April 22), the Dallas rapper surprised the host with a flashy gift: a $100,000 diamond chain. Designed by The Ice Champ, the custom piece spells out “Slab” across an outline of Texas, BigX’s home state.
“I come bearing gifts as always, man. We’re twinning. I have one as well,” BigX told Kimmel before his set.
Kimmel, clearly touched by the gesture, replied: “That’s very nice of you. Wow, thank you! I appreciate that! Wow, I feel like a princess!”
BigXThaPlug’s life story is as raw as his music. In a recent GQ interview, he opened up about a wild childhood memory: watching his mother shoot an intruder while he sat on the couch watching Scooby-Doo.
“This was back then, but I know my mama from selling drugs and shooting at people,” he shared. “The first time I ever saw somebody get shot, my mama was holding me. I’ll never forget it.”
Though he didn’t specify his age at the time, BigX mentioned he lived with his mother until he was nine years old.
In other recent news, BigX was arrested in Arlington, Texas, in February for marijuana possession after police pulled him over for expired tags.
According to reports, the arresting officer claimed to smell marijuana and asked both BigX and his passenger, Cleodist Landum, to exit the vehicle. Authorities said they discovered “cigarettes and a leafy green substance” in the car, along with a firearm.
While BigX (real name Xavier Landum) was charged with possession of under two ounces of marijuana, his passenger — who shares his last name, though their relationship is unclear — faced multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance, marijuana possession, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and an outstanding warrant.
Meanwhile, BigX continues to make moves in music, recently joining Lil Baby’s WHAM World Tour lineup alongside NLE Choppa and more.
